Coach Tours
NB Although our services can be booked through the 2 official guiding agencies of Liverpool, it is always cheaper to book us direct to avoid the commission which the agencies take. All our guides will be official, qualified and insured city guides, registered with the Tourist Board and members of the Association of Liverpool Tour Guides.
Standard 2 hour city tourThe standard 2 hour tour would normally cover the main areas of the city centre including driving past:
- the Pier Head, now part of the World Heritage Site, with the famous Liver Birds, symbol of the city
- the Albert Dock - the renovated Victorian warehouses now housing restaurants and museums including the Beatles Story, Maritime Museum and the world's only International Slavery Museum
- Liverpool's 2 Cathedrals - the gothic Anglican Cathedral, largest in Britain and the ultra-modern Catholic Cathedral
- Chinatown - with its superb Imperial Arch (the largest outside of China) our Chinatown is Europe's oldest.
- Hope St in the Georgian Quarter - linking the 2 Cathedrals, this much filmed area also has several Beatle links
- Cavern Quarter - where it all began! The home of Mersey Beat and the famous Cavern Club
- Cultural Quarter - home to the World Museum, Walker Art Gallery and St George's Hall
- Commercial Area - Georgian Town Hall, Listed Victorian Banking Palaces and original medieval streets of Liverpool
Plus there would normally also be time to visit one of the following: Anglican Cathedral (or Catholic if preferred) Sefton Palm House or Liverpool FC - (exterior and shop only). All are subject to opening hours and may occasionally be unavailable due to events.
Standard 2 hour Beatles tourThe Art College attended by John Lennon, Paul and George's grammar school, a photo stop in Penny Lane with the iconic street sign, drive past Strawberry Fields and stops outside John Lennon's and Paul McCartney's childhood homes. Then be dropped off at the Cavern Quarter to visit the famous club. Can't Decide? Do half and half!
Do half city tour, half Beatles tour - city highlights, a trip to Penny Lane and a quick visit to Sefton Palm House or the Cathedral. Or any combination of sights that add up to 2 hours. Just ask!3 hour city tourA more leisurely version of the 2 hour tour. Allows time for photostops at various city highlights and to visit both cathedrals. Or you could choose to visit one cathedral plus Sefton Palm House and Penny Lane. 3 hour Beatles tourCity centre highlights as per standard 2 hour tour, with emphasis on the Beatles. Plus the John's Art College, Paul and George's school, Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields, John and Paul's house (exteriors) and a visit to Mathew St to see the famous Cavern Club.
