| Liverpool Walks for groups
"From a Castle to a Tower"
Theme: A guided walk from the former site of Liverpool Castle to the former site of the Tower of Liverpool. En-route, we will look at some of the Victorian and 1930s commercial palaces of Liverpool, learn the important role played by banking and insurance in Liverpool’s rise to glory and the rather less glorious role it played in a notorious murder. We will also touch upon Liverpool’s original Medieval streets and the Civil War in Liverpool. We will finish by Tower Buildings on the Strand. Duration: The walk will last approx.90 - 120minutes.Some steps at St Nicholas's Gardens but there is an alternative step-free entrance.
All walks will go ahead regardless of the weather. Please wear suitable footwear and bring a rainproof.
